El Bocado Bilzen

Went here with my boyfriend for an evening out. We were here early and the waiters were very helpful with that, because we could eat there an hour before our reservation. The menu consists of different types of Spanish food. The most outstanding to us, were the boards. For €50 you can get a very big sharing plate for two people and this plate will definitely fill you up. You can choose between fish, meat, mixed or vegetarian. We ordered the mixed plate. It was pretty good. I didn’t like everything on the boards, for example the tortilla and the shrimp did not have much flavour but overall it was good. It definitely filled us up. We also had the albondigas on the side and they were nice! Flavourful, soft structure and a subtle sweet tomato sauce. The service was okay. At the time there were only two young people doing everything but they did it well and kept their heads high even though it got very busy towards the end of the night. For seating there’s an area outside and a very cosy area inside.

We visited on a Sunday during the bookmarket. We sat at an outdoor table and ordered a sharing platter. The food was good and service also. A pleasant experience. Would like to go back to try more specific dishes.

This restaurant has my heart. We went on a Sunday trip to bilzen with my husband, and just randomly sat here to have dinner. The pitcher of sangria was amazing and there was more than enough alcohol in it and the food was amazing as well and the funny thing it was not expensive at all. We had dinner for 2 with drinks and paid 50 Euro. But the experience was amazing! Definitely recommended
